Biographic

Tony's atypical path through education began with 6 years of night school while working a full time, factory job. He eventually earned a double major with a B.Sc. in Computer Science and a B.Sc. in Applied Math & Statistics from Stony Brook University. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 3.99 GPA. After Stony Brook, Tony went on to complete an M.Sc. and Ph.D. at Brown University, focusing on stochastic optimization problems in robotics, machine learning and operations research. One of his research publications received the 2013 Classic Paper Award from the American Association for Artificial Intelligence (AAAI).
Tony's varied work experience with software has spanned industry, research and academia. He has founded and worked at many software start-ups while serving in a variety of roles, including engineer, systems architect, director, VP and CTO. Tony has also taught and conducted research at the University of Texas and St. Edwards University.
